Information for the Journal’s Contributors

Exclusive
Manuscripts. We assume any article submitted to Revista Mexicana de Estudios Canadienses
(Mexican Journal of Canadian Studies) is being offered exclusively, and that no article accepted for publication will be published elsewhere simultaneously in any form.

Nature of the
Mannscripts. They should preferably be findings or advances of
original and high level research related to Canadian issues. Also, reviews of
books related to Canadian economic, political, social, and cultural topics or
reviews of other cultural manifestations will be welcome.

Submission
Guidelines:
-
Manuscripts should have the style and form of articles.

They should be in Spanish, English or French.
-
Articles should be written with capital and small letters clearly differentiated
and without typing mistakes. They should be between 15 and 20 sheets of
paper, on standard 8 ½” x 11” paper, and double spaced (approximately 28
lines of 60 strikes each one, using only one side of each sheet). Reviews
should be between 3 and 5 sheets of paper.

Final notes, tables and
graphics:
-
Notes must appear at the end of the papers as endnotes, footnotes won’t be accepted. Use superscripts to identify the notes in the text and in the endnotes section.

Tables and graphics should be included in separate pages not in the body of the text. Authors should indicate clearly where they should to be
included.

References. Authors should use the references’ system in parentheses, i.e.
indicating the author’s name in the body of the article, with the year of
publication in parentheses, e.g. Smith (1994); or if the reference has two or
more authors Smith et al. (1994). If different articles of the same author
(authors) and of the same year are cited, letters should be used (a), (b), (c),
etc., after the year of publication. The references should be cited in
alphabetical order at the end of the document using the following format:

Offe, C. 1992. “An none-productivist sdesign. For social policies” en P. V. Parijs (ed.),

Abstracts. Submissions should include an abstract of 10 lines or less either in Spanish, English or French. It should include all the article’s important aspects, their correlations and the principal conclusions.

Form to submit
contributions. Authors should submit a digital version in the word processing program, Word to
Ernesto Sánchez Sánchez, Editorial Cordinator at <ernesto@amec.com.mx>

Identification. The article’s title page should indicate the title, date of
e!aboration, and omit reference about authorship for anonymous process
review. A separate sheet should be attached to each submission with the
following information:

Title of the manuscript.

Author or authors names.
-
A brief biographical statement (10 or 15 lines in length) about the author or authors.

Mailing address, place of work, phones, email and any other
information that helps to find quickly the author or authors.

Manuscripts’
return. Revista Mexicana de Estudios Canadienses
(Mexican Journal of Canadian Studies)
isn’t responsible of the manuscript’s return if not requested.
